A note from the EBFA:
Remembrance is held in the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth of Nations "to commemorate the contribution of British and Commonwealth military and civilian servicemen and women in the two World Wars and later conflicts.
Remembrance is part of modern British life, culture and heritage. It has become a particular feature of the public calendar each year when public, private, formal and informal Remembrance events take place throughout the UK.
On Saturday 11th November 2023, at all EBFA matches, we would ask that teams and officials organise a 1-minute silence in respect of Remembrance.
Teams and officials are asked to stand round the centre circle and the referee should blow his whistle for the start and conclusion of the 1-minute silence of Remembrance, to be followed by the Respect handshakes and then commencement of the match.
Thank you.
