IFAB are the guardians of the Laws of the Game, comprising of four British football associations (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) and FIFA. Each year the Laws of the Game are reviewed, and feedback is obtained from national associations and the Football and Technical Advisory Panels.

This season’s main changes relate to handball, Penalty Kicks and Temporary Dismissals. These new changes are to be applied for the new season including current pre-season games.

The most interesting one for youth football is that the team captain must wear a Captain's armband. Nevertheless there are others referring to shin pads, goalkeeper kit, sin bins and head injury replacements that should be noted.
