Hearts U10 and U11 girls attended the CGL Futsal competition on Saturday 21st January held at the Copper Box in Stratford. Player availability was high enough to enter two teams at U10 and one team at U11.

Lions – Scarlett, Sophia, Cecily, Imogen, Roxy.
Tigers – Lowri, Lila, Ava, Olivia, Lily

The Lions soared through the group stages with only one loss displaying excellent passing and link up play. Their semi-final match against Alexandra Palace was a tough one but was their best performance of the day. The Lions got the all-important goal that saw them through to the final with Tottenham Hotspur Ladies. The Lions held their own and gave it their all, finally seeing them finish runners up with a final score line of 2-0. The Lions were simply amazing and came away with silver medals and great memories. Both Lions and Tigers got to meet Arsenal and England player Leah Williamson who sent out on twitter what a great day it had been with even greater female players! Well done to both teams!!

The U13 Girls are due to take part in the same competition this week on Saturday 28th January at the Copper Box. Good luck girls!!!
